If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen the necklace that I wear everyday.
The thumbie is my Grandfather’s thumb print. The square charm represents the pets I’ve lost but are always with me. And last week, I updated my “run” charm with 5K and each dot represents how many I’ve completed.
Sunday I ran a 5k in Stanton that was a fundraiser for Maddie’s Place park and JDRF. I ran it in my best time ever! 32 minutes even!
As I continue the 5k-10k training, I also want to focus on improving my pace. Today’s workout was a 25 minute stead run, and I averaged a 10:15 pace. That’s right on pace with Sunday’s 5k, but I’d like to get under that 10:00 mile.
Hope you have a great week! As you probably know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I have a special charm necklace that will be available soon!
